Why XLM is going up or down – first check bitcoin: over 90 days XLM moved about 1.35 times harder than it. But Stellar's link is weaker than Solana's and XRP's (correlation 0.75), so its own move can be notable. What is XLM, in simple words
Stellar is a network for payments and tokenizing real assets: funds, bonds, stablecoins. XLM is the coin of this network, it pays the fees. There are about 50 billion coins in total, 35.2 billion in circulation, and no new ones are printed. The other 30% are with the Stellar Development Foundation: it spends them on developing the network, and they gradually come to the market.
XRP and XLM: why people check their prices together
Stellar was created by Jed McCaleb, one of the founders of Ripple. So XRP and XLM are often called relatives: the idea is the same – fast and cheap transfers. Hence the search "xrp xlm price".
