Crypto Market: overview since the start

Everything the bot has collected about the cryptocurrency market as a whole: news from regulators, exchanges and the Fed, statistics for the whole period and the day archive. From here – to Market today and Market yesterday.

What the bot has processed

In the crypto market statistics block above are the numbers for the whole period, since October 29, 2026:

  • Read – how many publications the bot found in all sources.
  • Processed – how many of them were merged into stories and went through the price measurement.
  • Filtered out – search engine junk like converters and price cards, off-topic publications and records without market keywords.
  • No effect – stories after which the price did not go beyond its usual range.
  • Share of influence – which sources and companies coincide with a notable price reaction more often than others, for each coin in percent.

This is crypto market analysis based on facts, not an opinion. The database is young, so the shares are still counted on a small number of stories. Details by source and news type are in the Data section.

Crypto market chart

The crypto market chart is the move of bitcoin, the market's main coin, for the whole period of observation, with marks on the days when general news coincided with sharp moves.

Market day archive

A fresh crypto market overview for the past day comes out every morning – on the Market yesterday page. It has all the market-wide news of the day. By default the important ones are shown – stories picked up by at least two sources, or official messages – with bitcoin's reaction to each. The current day is on the Market today page, updated every 30 minutes.

This page shows the picture for the whole period of observation: how much news went through the bot and what of it turned out to be important.

Each day has its own overview: the feed of market-wide news, coin results, spikes and drops, seismograms.

What the bot counts as the crypto market

Each coin on the site has its own page. But there is news that affects the whole market at once: regulator decisions, the Fed rate, failures of large exchanges, listings and delistings. The bot collects it separately and calls it "the market".

The market sources are official:

  • press releases of the SEC and the CFTC – the US regulators for securities and commodities trading;
  • Fed monetary policy decisions;
  • ESMA – the EU financial markets regulator;
  • the outage pages of Coinbase and Kraken;
  • announcements of the OKX, Bybit and Binance exchanges;
  • official accounts of regulators and exchanges on X, Google News on exchange hacks, delistings, ETFs and the Fed.

Plus everything from the shared crypto feeds that does not mention any coin from the bot. Market news gets into the daily recap if at least two sources wrote about it or it is an official message.

Which crypto market events matter most

  • The Fed rate. Decisions and expectations on the US rate move all risky assets, crypto too. In 2026, expectations of a tight policy coincided with drops: for example, at the end of July the uncertainty before the Fed decision was named among the reasons for pressure on bitcoin (Yahoo Finance, 28.07.2026).
  • Regulation. Laws and decisions of the SEC, the CFTC and EU regulators. An example is the CLARITY Act, the crypto market structure law: in May 2026 it passed the US Senate Banking Committee (15 votes to 9), but never reached a vote of the full Senate (TFTC, 29.10.2026).
  • Exchange-traded funds. Money flowing into and out of funds on bitcoin and other coins. Behind them is big money that comes and goes fast.
  • Exchanges. Hacks, failures, listings and delistings. A failure of a large exchange can coincide with a drop in the coins traded there the most.
  • Crashes with liquidations. When the price drops sharply, leveraged positions on futures are force-closed, and this speeds up the fall. For example, on February 28, 2026, more than $515 million of leveraged positions were liquidated in 24 hours, and on June 3, 2026 – $1.86 billion (Backpack Learn).

How to use the market page

  1. A coin moved sharply. Open Market today. If bitcoin and all coins moved, look for the explanation there.
  2. Morning. Read Market yesterday – in five minutes you see the main things of the past day across the whole market.
  3. Once a week. Come here, to the statistics: which sources and companies more often coincide with price moves of your coins.

Why the crypto market has its own page

Most of the time coins move after bitcoin. When the market falls as a whole, it makes no sense to look for the reason in the news of a single coin – it is in the general news. So the bot splits it: coin news is on the coin page, with the reaction without the market; market news is here, with bitcoin's reaction.

A story could have coincided with a move by chance – this also has to be kept in mind. We write "coincided with the news", not "the market fell because of the news". How the numbers are counted is in the methodology.
